Motherhood can be a challenge, so I appreciate anything that makes my life easier. Anytime I find a more efficient way to get something done, I’m happy to share. Today, I’m sharing 5 Useful Mom Hacks that Can Save You Money and Time.
Mom Hack #1 Meal Time Placemats
As a mom, I’ve come to fully understand that kids make messes, and it’s unavoidable. During feeding time, food gets thrown, spilled, dropped, mashed up and smeared…..everywhere. For the longest time, I just dealt with the mess on our kitchen table until I found the cutest kid’s washable placemats ever! They are long and wide enough to cover mostly any area that food may go, if spilled.
Mom Hack #2 Cascade Pure Essentials
Meal after meal, dish after dish, cup after cup, as a stay at homemom, I usually find myself doing dishes all day long. Sometimes, when I’m just too tired, I don’t get to them at all (hey, I’m just being honest ). The best hack for this, is loading them into the dishwasher and calling it a day. Unfortunately, when I’ve done this in the past I’ve found dishes with stuck on food that require a second washing. Who has time for that?!
Recently, I tried out a new dish detergent called Cascade pure essentials. It’s a new simplified formula made ⅓ biobasedingredients and with no phosphates and no chlorine bleach. When I used it in my dishwasher, I was pleasantly surprised with the results. My dishes came out super clean with no need to pre or re-clean. Even a pan with baked on food came out sparkling!
I also love that it comes in perfectly sized ActionPacs™, which prevent any waste of the product.
With Cascade’s new formula, I get to use a product I feel good about and actually achieve a thorough clean, with no need to compromise. Through March 30, you can save $1 off Cascade Pure Essentials (30 count or larger) when you use Cartwheel in the Target app here – one time use only. Check it out for yourself at your local Target!
Mom Hack #3 Long Sleeved Bibs
Have you ever had your kid dressed in their Sunday best or cute outfit with sleeves, then realize it’s time for them to eat? Put on their bib, roll up their sleeves and hope for the best…? Well I went through that for a while , and thankfully I got my hands on an awesome invention : sleeved bibs.
Any good, wide coverage bib is great, but when companies started adding sleeves to them, they really addressed an issue so many parents face.
Mom Hack #4: Re-Using Vinyl Shower Curtains
Once I got tired of replacing my old vinyl shower curtains every time they got dirty, I came across a simple way to keep them clean and avoid replacing them for a longer period of time. Here’s the hack: toss them in the washing machine with a small amount of detergent and white vinegar and voila ! Just like new!
Mom Hack #5: Storage Containers
I love storing our heavy winter clothes in clear stackable containers. It’s easy to see what items are in the containers and keep things organized. Big bulky coats, sweaters, sweat suits, large bags, and accessories can take up so much space, and using storage containers can help you free up a good amount.
