I swear sometimes I forget that God is in control. I get to doing things and becoming stressed, and trying to anticipate what’s around the corner, all while forgetting that these problems are not my battle and I already have victory! Shata! (That’s my praise scream) Sometimes I allow the pressure to build up so much, that I feel my eyes getting heavy, feel my molars start to ache, my head starts to lightly constrict and pound, all because my mind is set on working things out myself.
If there is one thing I’ve learned for sure, it is that God is in control and it is best for me to not try to do His job. When I remember this, and feed myself/my mind, ears, and heart, something reinforcing this truth, the sun comes out, the noise quiets and I allow the day to take care of itself. Listening to my gospel favorites – J. Moss or Men of Standard (is currently doing the trick), listening to uplifting messages wherever I can find them, usually helps to set me straight. We all fall short don’t we? Sometimes I have to stop and breathe. In through the nose slowly, out through the mouth slowly…. I have to consistently remind myself that everything (no matter how frustrating) is working for my good. Whether that is to make me stronger, more patient, teach me a lesson I will use in the future, or just to remind me to trust Him, when I forget.
When you allow God to lead, it’s like walking down a path already laid out for you, every step, every hill, curve, and turn. He is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. So true. In releasing the tasks, circumstances, worry, and anxiety, I remember to pray about everything, thank God for victory in everything, and pray that His will be done. In all things, acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
- Is there something you’ve been struggling with?
- Something you’ve been trying to figure out on your own?
- Have you given anxiety room to sneak in and rob you of your sleep, peace, and positivity?
STOP.
Put it in Gods hands. Say, “I surrender it all to you Lord, lead me and guide me”. “I cast this burden on the Christ within and I go free”. Take a few, slow, deep breaths and see if you don’t feel better, and think clearer. Drink water, eat well, and allow God to work it out. 💗

Yes Lord for the rest of my days! This post just gave me so much peace! God IS in control! I’m taking my hands off of the wheel of my destiny and although I’m still in the driver’s seat, I’m letting Him drive! 👍
